St Nicolas Church Choir

_{There has been a church choir at St Nicolas for more years than anyone can remember.  We are very much part of the church's tradition, but we are part of the future, too.  Many of our choristers are young people who use their talents to particpate fully in the life of the church.}

_{Every year we go and sing services at one of our great cathedrals.  In recent years we have visited Norwich, Derby, Coventry, Chelmsford, Bristol, Chester and Canterbury.  In October 2007 we shall again be visiting Norwich Cathedral.}

_{We are affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music, an organisation which gives us all sorts of opportunities to spread our wings.  We use their training scheme 'A Voice for Life', which enables choristers to be awarded ribbons as they gain experience.  Some of our choristers belong to the RSCM Southern Cathedral Singers.}
