Joining the Choir

St Nicolas' Director of Music, David Martin would love to hear from you if you would like to sing in the choir. 

When do we sing?

We sing every sunday at 10:00 - Holy Communion & 6:00 -Evensong        We also sing at Weddings on a Saturday morning or afternoon                  We also sing at joint services in churches arounf the Deanery

What do I need to join the choir? 

To sing treble/soprano (the top line) you must be aged between 7 and 20.  To sing alto, tenor or base, you can be of any age.

Do I have to be able to read music?

No - we teach you to read music

Do I have to attend every service?

No - but we do ask you to come to as many practices and services as possible

When are the practices?

We meet every Friday  at St Nicolas Church. Timings are as follows:-

7:15pm - 8:45pm for those aged 7-14

8:00pm - 9:15pm for older choristors
