Bell Ringing at St Nicolas' Church

We have a wonderful set of 8 bells and a great team of ringers who ring every Sunday morning as well as for weddings and special services (including state occasions) throughout the year.

On Monday 16th July a  quarter peal was successfully rung on the occasion of the Licensing of Revd Susan Malam as Associate Priest in our Team Ministry. Details can be found on the link below.

Would you like to join us? We are always looking for more ringers!

Bell ringing:

  •  is a team activity that keeps you fit and stimulates the brain. 
  • makes a glorious sound. 
  • is a very sociable activity. 

You don’t need to be a regular church-goer.  People of all ages from 10 upwards can learn to ring. You don't need to be especially strong and being able to count is the only  maths needed.  A good sense of humour certainly helps!
